On Wednesday, December 2nd, 2021, my dear friend and companion Pusscat crossed the rainbow bridge to be with his brothers and sisters that were waiting for him on the other side. He came into our lives on Christmas eve 2006, estimated to be 2 years old at the time. Appearing sick and injured, we thought he wouldn't make it through the night. As he would do many times in his life, he made it to morning and seemed as healthy as could be. We joking called it the Christmas Miracle. He truly had 9 lives. Time and again he would look like his time had come yet would continue to thrive. He had a wonderful tail plume and personality. He would form a bond with his friend Pookie Bear and together they would be known as the Foofy Boys. He loved to cuddle, even when you may have not wanted to. It wasn't your choice anyways and he would just crawl up on your chest or perch on your shoulder. He developed a knack for surprise cuddling by leaping onto your back with no notice and from any angle, usually from a perch on a table or his favorite, the fridge. He always seemed to have a smug smile on his face after landing on me as if to say gotcha!!! As he got older and the tail plume thinned, the surprise leaping waned but the cuddles continued. He wouldn't miss an opportunity to curl up under the covers at bedtime and snuggle under my chin. Unfortunately, his health began to fade over the last year and he finally lost his battle with time. A year and a half after his friend Pookie Bear crossed the bridge, they are forever reunited, as the Foofy boys ride again.
You will be dearly missed.
Love mom and dad.
