๐Ÿพ In Loving Memory of Matriana Marie Haycook ๐Ÿพ

Matriana Marie Haycook

Forever my Babygirl ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ•Š

My sweet Matriana Marie, you were only 5 years, 6 months, and 19 days old, and yet in that short time, you filled my life with more love, laughter, chaos, and memories than I could ever put into words.

You were my goofy, sassy, adventurous little scaredy-cat. You were scared of almost everything at first, but once you realized what something was and figured out how it worked, that fear would disappear and your curiosity would take over. You always had to investigate everything in your own little way.

You had crackhead energy almost all the time, and somehow you could turn the most ordinary moments into something funny. You were playful, talkative, and always had something to say. Your little personality was so big, and there will never be another you.

You were also my little shadow. You always had to follow me wherever I went. You had to love on me, kiss me, make biscuits on me, and somehow find a way to lay directly on top of me whenever you could. You didn't just want to be near meโ€”you wanted to be with me.

You used to love going on car rides, until you got fixed and decided they weren't quite as exciting anymore. ๐Ÿ˜‚ You loved sitting on me while I played video games, and you became my little gaming buddy. So many hours were spent with you beside me, on me, or somehow in the middle of whatever I was doing.

You weren't just my cat. You were my baby, my shadow, my little troublemaker, my cuddle buddy, and my gaming partner.

I never imagined that I would have to say goodbye to you so suddenly. You were here that morning when I said goodbye to you, just like I always did every morning, never knowing it would be the last time. And then, when I came home from work that afternoon, you were gone. I was going to jingle my keys like I always did, because that was your sign that I was homeโ€”and you always knew that. ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’” I wish I could have jingled those keys one more time and watched you come running to me.

I hope wherever you are, you're no longer scared of anything. I hope you're running, playing, being your goofy little self, and causing all the beautiful chaos you always did here. And I hope with all my heart that somehow, someday, your spirit finds its way back to me in another form. Until the day I get to see you again in Heaven, I'll carry you with me.

You gave me a kind of love that I didn't know I needed. You made me laugh on days when I didn't feel like laughing, kept me company when I was alone, and somehow made ordinary days feel a little less ordinary just by being there. You were such a huge part of my everyday life that I don't think I realized how much of my world revolved around you until you were suddenly gone.

I know there will be moments when I still expect to see you. I'll walk through the house and look for you without even thinking about it. I'll hear a noise and wonder if it's you. I'll come home and, for a split second, expect you to be there waiting for me. I'll probably still want to jingle my keys, expecting my little girl to know that Mom is home. And those little moments are going to hurt, because the house will feel different without you in it. I don't just miss the memories we madeโ€”I miss the little things that I never thought I'd have to live without.

I would give anything to see you again.

To hear your little voice.

To feel you curled up on me.

To feel you making biscuits.

To have you follow me around the house again.

To have my little gaming buddy sitting beside me one more time.

I love you so much, Matriana Marie Haycook.ย

You will be missed more than words could ever explainโ€”not only by me, but by our whole family.

Thank you for choosing me.

Thank you for every kiss, every biscuit, every cuddle, every crazy moment, every adventure, and every memory.

Until we meet again, my Babygirl. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ•Š

You may have only been a part of my life for 5 years, 4 months, and 21 days (April 14, 2021 โ€“ September 4, 2026), but you will be a part of my heart for the rest of my life.

I love you forever, Matriana Marie.

You had such a huge personality packed into that little head, but big body ๐Ÿ˜‚โ€”goofy, chaotic, curious, cuddly, and completely devoted to me since you chose me as your Mom.

Run free, my sweet girl, until the time has come to run back to me! ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿค
